Kyoto Semiconductor Corporation was founded in 1980 as a specialized manufacturer of optical semiconductors. The company's optical semiconductor devices, which are manufactured using compounds such as InGaAs (indium gallium arsenide), boast high performance, and in particular, are among the world's leading technological prowess in high-speed photodiodes for communications. Among these, we have an extensive lineup of LEDs and PDs (photodiodes) with a wavelength range of 940nm to infrared LEDs, which can be used by only three companies in Japan, and the company with a high share in the industrial sector, including power monitors for optical communications, bill identification machines, rotary encoders, and gas sensing.
